How to unstick a frozen Gobilda motor?

A motor froze today not rotating at all does anyone know how to fix this or is it now paperweigth?
any suggestions besides contacting Gobilda this would be a second motor in two years thats has gone bad and both motors are diffrent ones…

Is your usage of the motor unique at all? I’ve only “frozen” motors on two occasions:

  1. Bent motor shaft because I put too much load on the shaft itself.
  2. Cooked the internals by overheating the motor, I made the motor stall (power the motor without allowing it to spin) for a crazy amount of time, and elements inside the motor were fused together.

Not sure if you did one of these, but it is likely not covered under warranty if so.

If you didn’t do one of those, can you provide any more info about how the motor was being used?

It was a 223 rpm motor from gobilda, it worked on Saturday tournament and today it did not want to extend my viperslide… not sure what the students did.

almost temepted to take it apart and see what happened

replaced it with a different motor and had to redo all the encoder values since the motor was not at the same RPM value
