Is anyone having difficulty downloading the REV Hardware Client 2? I have upgraded to Windows 11, but I only get this when I try to install the app

What can you do now?

  • Update Windows: Open Windows Update in Settings and install all available updates

  • Check disk space: Ensure you have at least 1GB of free space on your system drive

  • Check your internet connection: Make sure you have a stable connection to download the app

  • Try again: Many installation errors are temporary - retry the installation

I’m on Windows 10, and I get that exact same problem, no full installer actually installs properly to my machine. I escalated it to REV, and they’ve been working with me on it for the past several weeks (meaning each time they make a release and try again, I test it and let them know it still doesn’t work). I ended up having to download their zipped binaries rather than a full installer.

To download the zipped binaries, you need to download the ZIP instead of downloading the installer. You can do this from the download screen by clicking the “Download ZIP” button as shown here:

Once you download, extract the contents into a folder somewhere, and pin the “REV Hardware Client 2.exe” file from rev-hardware-client-1.4.2-windows-amd64\bin to your Start Menu or to your Taskbar to create a shortcut for launch.
