Turning off Bluetooth on Sony PS4 gamepad

Hi,

Is there any specific process to turn off Bluetooth on the Sony PS4 gamepad?
Game Manual Part 1 says a Sony PS4 gamepad should be:

operating in wired mode only (i.e., connected through USB 2.0 Type A to Type B Micro cable with Bluetooth turned off)

Is connecting the gamepad to a Driver Hub with a USB cable enough to turn off Bluetooth, or is there some procedure that needs to done with the gamepad to fully turn off Bluetooth?

Thanks!

The Sony PS4 Gamepad (Sony DualShock 4) only broadcasts Bluetooth when it is:

  1. Paired to another Bluetooth device.
  2. In “Pairing” mode.

Therefore, you need to make sure your DualShock 4 is not paired with any devices, and that you do not put the device into pairing mode. The device will work via USB without issue (and without interference) as long as these conditions are met.
